Simon joined MQP as Managing Director in April 2009. Prior to MQP he was the Operations Director for Tarmac. Simon started work in the Chemicals Industry but joined the Construction Industry in 1988.
He is a Charted Electrical Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying and a Governor of a local school. In his spare time he likes climbing, cycling and sailing.
JP joined Midland Quarry Products in May 2008 as Finance Director and Company Secretary. JP has ultimate functional responsibility for Finance, credit control, administration and IT.
JP is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Port Elizabeth. JP trained as an accountant with Deloitte in South Africa and has worked in a number of finance roles for Engelhard (now BASF Catalysts); GlaxoSmithKline Plc and most recently for Tarmac before joining MQP.
Murray joined MQP on its formation as Sales Manager after a career spanning 25 years with Tarmac, all of this time was spent in the commercial side of the business.
Murray was appointed Commercial Director with MQP in January 2005.
He is a Member of the Institute of Asphalt Technology (IAT) and sits on the MPA Asphalt Committee.
Ian joined MQP as Operations Director in April 2007.
Prior to MQP he was an Area Operations Manager for Hanson in the South West. Ian started his career with ARC working in a
number of disciplines including technical, concrete and the operations division of Hanson. Ian has ultimate functional
responsibility for the operations within MQP
He is a member of the Institute of Quarrying and Asphalt. In his spare time he enjoys all out door activities especially equestrian sports.
