Learn about Hedgerow Heritage on Sunday 18th January 2004

Midland Quarry Products has teamed up with the Countryside Agency and BTCV to offer a course in Hedgerow Heritage on Sunday 18th January.

The course will cover how to identify trees in winter, the importance of hedgerows to our native ecology, how they are affected by different management techniques, how to tell the age of a hedge and how to identify the different types of trees in the hedgerow.

The course will start at 10.30am at the Hilary Crescent entrance to Holly Hayes Wood in Whitwick, Leics. Although suitable for all ages, under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a packed lunch (hot drinks will be provided), waterproofs and suitable outdoor clothing. The course will finish at approximately 2.30pm.
