Midland Quarry Products (MQP) is a highly successful joint venture company our shareholders being Tarmac and Hanson UK. Operating predominantly across the East and West Midlands, MQP is a significant business within the drystone and asphalt sectors.

To assist the credit manager in maintaining a positive credit function for MQP. This opportunity would be ideal for somebody who is an enthusiastic & self motivated AICM student keen to develop their credit skills in an ever changing economy. Whilst MQP currently operates a CODA system, we are planning to migrate to SAP in 2013 and SAP experience would be an advantage.

Key skills and experience required:
• Report directly to the Credit Manager
• Chasing c 8-9 million of debt on a Portfolio of approximately 450/550 live accounts, including Inter Company.
• Ability to agree satisfactory payment plans where required.
• Some cash allocation duties, cheque allocation and banking.
• Good telephone manner with exceptional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of County court and Insolvency proceedings would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of the construction industry would also be advantageous.
• You will be required to attend regular management meetings regarding credit performance for the business, being able to present your findings and conclusions.
• Work closely with the Administration Department in entering and resolving queries.
• Excel to intermediate level
• Producing reports in excel with ability to use V-look up a requirement.
• Work to a targeted DSO of 47 days and past due <3.5%.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• Knowledge of working within a credit control environment.
• Able to build relationships both with clients and internal teams
• Able to present finding and ideas confidently
• Self motivated and Professional attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Develop strong customer service skills with key clients in a challenging market place.
• Good IT skills.
