WEST MIDLANDS

Midland Quarry Products (MQP) is a highly successful joint venture between Tarmac Ltd and Hanson UK, operating across the East and West Midlands. MQP’s strategy is to give our customers what they want when we promise it, have valued employees and minimise our impact on the environment.

We have the following vacancy based at our Wednesbury Asphalt Plant in the West Midlands. Experience of working in the industry is preferable but training will be given.

ASPHALT PLANT OPERATOR – WEDNESBURY PLANT

• Comply with and be actively involved in MQP’s SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Carry out daily safety and maintenance checks and document accordingly.
• Work effectively as part of a small team to maintain high levels of customer service and product quality.
• Flexibility to cover other roles, within the job holders capabilities, as defined by the Unit Manager including diving the loading shovel, dumper and forklift trucks.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels, including imported materials.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site.
• Work in a safe manner to ensure the Health and Safety of yourself and those around you.
