Surface Dressing Chippings
Surface Dressing Chippings, however, have a specific application, i.e. they are generally used as an overlay to seal an existing surface and extend the life for a limited period which provides a cheaper alternative to resurfacing. Depending on the traffic intensity or location of the surface to be "dressed", a PSV (Polished Stone Value) may also be required.

Lightly Coated Chippings
Lightly Coated Chippings are supplied as 6mm, 10mm and 14mm single sizes and are used primarily as a "surface dressing" material. They are spread over an existing surface in order to extend the life of the carriageway by a few years rather than opt for the more expensive reconstruction.
