MQP would like to say thank you to everyone who attended the Open Day which was held at Old Cliffe Hill Quarry in Leicestershire on 3rd & 4th September.
The event was organised to show visitors the new tunnel which has recently been completed between the two quarries at Stanton under Bardon. There were a number of displays from companies who were involved in the tunnel’s construction and an exhibition showing all parts of the process.
The National Stone Centre provided gem panning and fossil making for the children and there was a tour of the tunnel by minibus for all. We hope everyone that attended had an enjoyable day.
