As part of Midland Quarry Products ongoing commitment to health and safety, all our operational sites and sales offices stopped work for two hours on today (Tuesday April 5), between 7am and 9am to carry out a series of safety-related activities.
“I am sure everyone understands the importance of this exercise. Safety is our number one priority and the over-riding aim behind this initiative was to get everyone thinking about their own safety and the safety of colleagues, drivers, contractors and visitors as we work towards our target of Zero Harm. The 2 hours included a toolbox talk which covered driver safety and drugs and alcohol awareness as well as involving all our employees, contractors and drivers conducting a hazard spot on their respective sites. While this inevitably disrupted our normal level of service I am confident that our customers support this initiative.” David Bagshaw Managing Director
