MQP on track with Network Rail

MQP has clinched a major 10 year contract with Network Rail to supply 800,000 tonnes of rail ballast each year from Cliffe Hill quarry in Leicestershire, securing the long term future of the quarry.

David Bagshaw, Managing Director of MQP said: "We have secured both an increase in volumes and a long term supply deal at Cliffe Hill, which, together with the sign off on our minerals reserves strategy, represents a major milestone for the business.  The renewal of the contract follows a challenging tender process involving a huge amount of work from our people.  This is great news and safeguards the future of our flagship quarry.

"I would like to thank everyone involved in winning this bid, in particular Andy Rogerson our Commercial Director, and Helen Joyce our Business Development Manager, both played a pivotal role in ensuring we submitted a professional and well thought out tender bid."
