Continued Operation of Cliffe Hill Quarry and Proposed Eastern Extension to Old Cliffe Hill Quarry

On 12th August 2022, the Eastern Extension planning application was registered with Leicestershire County Council ref No. 2022/EIA/0100/LCC.

The application seeks to secure a further 10 years of production from Old Cliffe Hill by re-routeing Cliffe Lane, constructing a new screening landform and extending extraction towards the M1.

If approved in 2023 the works would start in 2026/7. No changes to the proposed day to day operations of the quarry are proposed.
